Spartak (Pleven) with first victory in Second League: 2:0 against Yantra

Spartak (Pleven) achieved a successful start to the new MrBit Second League season, winning their away match against Yantra (Gabrovo) 2:0. The match, marking the beginning of the 2026/27 campaign, repeated the result of the summer friendly between the two teams held in Lovech.

Execution in the second half

Krasimir Bislimov's team managed to break through the hosts' defense in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Preslav Antonov put the Pleven side ahead, and in the 70th minute, substitute Georgi Dimitrov increased the score to 2:0. Dimitrov, who moved from Yantra to Spartak over the summer, scored the goal against his former club.

New faces and upcoming challenges

Both goalscorers are new additions to the "blue-and-whites" during the current transfer window. While Dimitrov comes directly from Yantra, Preslav Antonov is an experienced player in the Pleven ranks with over 100 matches for the team.

In the next round of the championship, Spartak (Pleven) will host Marek (Dupnitsa). The match will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 20:00 at the city stadium in Lovech.
