Six athletes to represent Bulgaria at the European Championship in Birmingham

Six Bulgarian athletes will participate in the European Athletics Championships, which will be held in the English city of Birmingham from August 10 to 16. The information was provided by the Bulgarian Athletics Federation (BAF).
Among our leading competitors is the continental indoor long jump champion from Apeldoorn 2025, Bozhidar Saraboyukov, who will compete in his main discipline. In the women's triple jump, Bulgaria will be represented by the European indoor runner-up from Prague 2015, Gabriela Petrova, and the U20 world champion from Tampere 2018, Aleksandra Nacheva.
Sprint and Marathon
In the sprint disciplines, Hristo Iliev will compete in the 100 meters and Kristen Radukanova in the 200 meters. The women's marathon will be represented by Marinela Nineva.
The total number of registered participants in Birmingham is 1,645 athletes, of which 840 are men and 805 are women. The upcoming event will be introduced in more detail at a media briefing for "Euro 2026," scheduled for August 5 at 11:00 AM at the Vitosha Hotel.
