International project in Radomir uses outdoor games for the social inclusion of youth with special needs

The 'For Tomorrow' Foundation is implementing the 'Games for Social Inclusion' project, aimed at youth with special educational needs (SEN). The initiative uses outdoor games, sports, and nature-based activities as informal educational tools to improve the social integration and personal development of the participants.

The project is being conducted in the village of Dolni Rakovets, Radomir municipality, and involves international cooperation with youth from Bulgaria, Croatia, and Turkey. In addition to the international participants, youth from the local community, as well as representatives of the youth community from Blagoevgrad, Sofia, and Radomir, are included in the activities.

The main goal of the project is for the game-based approach methods to be publicly demonstrated by the participants and to be disseminated and multiplied among more stakeholders. Project coordinator Borislav Slavchev and psychologist Petya Petrova describe how the project is progressing.

Public Event in Radomir

To demonstrate the results achieved and to disseminate the game-based approach, the public event 'LET'S play together' will be held on August 8 from 3:00 PM in the courtyard of the Youth Cultural and Information Center in the town of Radomir. The organization is holding the event in partnership with the Radomir Municipality.

Mission of the 'For Tomorrow' Foundation

The 'For Tomorrow' Foundation has existed for nine years with the aim of supporting children and youth with special educational needs and their families. The organization works to improve their quality of life and their equal integration into society. Dimitar Urdev, the founder, explains how the organization's mission is carried out. In cooperation with the Blagoevgrad Municipality, the foundation develops models for including children in the educational system within municipal kindergartens and schools.
