Trump threatens Iran with military consequences following new Houthi attacks on ships

United States President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran, stating that Washington will hold it responsible for any future attacks carried out by the Yemeni Houthi movement. In his Truth Social profile, the American leader described the group as a "proxy" for Iranian interests in the region.

According to Trump, the US already dealt a "very strong blow" to the Houthis about a year ago, which he believes led to a period of more responsible behavior on their part. However, the president expressed serious concern regarding the escalation of tension after attacks against two Saudi ships were recorded last night.

Trump emphasized that any new attack will trigger a direct response from Washington. He warned that if the Houthis' aggressive actions continue, the US will be forced to impose heavy military punishments directed both at the movement itself and directly at Iran.
