Escalation in the Middle East: Iran threatens mass resistance against potential American intervention

Tensions in the Middle East are reaching a critical point after the Iranian military leadership issued a sharp warning to the United States. General Amir Hatami, Chief of the Iranian Army, stated that the country is prepared for large-scale and unprecedented resistance if American troops step onto its territory.

During a visit to military units in Isfahan province, Hatami emphasized that the Iranian people exhibit "widespread hatred" toward Washington and will not allow military intervention. He added that Tehran was not surprised by the escalation, as it had anticipated that the US would not honor previous attempts at a truce.

Attacks against American bases

Parallel to the diplomatic rhetoric, military action is intensifying. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the execution of drone attacks against strategic US targets in the region. According to official reports, strikes were directed at the "Muwaffaq Salti" airbase in Jordan and the "Sheikh Isa" base in Bahrain, targeting equipment warehouses, hangars, and service buildings.

In response to these actions, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that it conducted another series of nighttime strikes against Iranian military infrastructure. The targets included operational centers, maritime capabilities, drone warehouses, and logistics hubs.

Diplomatic deadlock

The new wave of violence puts serious pressure on the mediation efforts of Pakistan, which is attempting to bring both sides back to the negotiating table. Although Washington expresses readiness for peaceful negotiations, Tehran remains skeptical regarding the seriousness of American intentions, increasing the risk of a full-scale regional conflict.
