Victory for young Bulgarian female volleyball players at the Balkania in Greece

The Bulgarian national women's volleyball team (under-16 category) successfully began its participation in the Balkania in Greece with a victory over Romania. Although difficult, the match ended with a convincing score of 3-0 in all sets (25:22, 25:22, 25:22).

Maria Bakova played the biggest role in the success of the Bulgarian volleyball players, recording 18 points. Radostina Dobreva also supported her, contributing 12 points for the team.

After the first day of the tournament, Bulgaria holds fourth place in the standings. Turkey leads the group, followed by Serbia and the hosts, Greece. Prior to this success, the Bulgarian team suffered a 1-3 defeat against the Turkish team.

The next challenge for our girls will be on Thursday, when they will face the strong Serbian young generation.
