Bulgaria U20 in a tough group in the Euro 2027 qualifiers

The young Bulgarian women's national volleyball team under 20 has learned its fate in the qualifiers for the 2027 European Championship. Our girls will fight for a place at the top of European volleyball in a group that includes strong opponents – Turkey, Serbia, and Russia.

The competitions will be held in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. An important highlight in the group is the return of the Russian team to the international arena, which is happening for the first time since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine. The winner of the group will secure a direct quota for the final tournament, which will be hosted by Italy and Malta in July 2027.

National team coach Denislav Dimitrov emphasized that the main goal is qualification, adding that preparations have already begun, although the entire squad is not currently available. Key players such as Bozhidara Ivanova, Edna Todorova, and others are expected to join the team in the coming days.
