In Sevastopol, a key city on the Crimean Peninsula, a limited power supply regime has been introduced. The decision was made by Moscow-appointed authorities following a series of Ukrainian missile attacks carried out last night.

Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported that the new energy distribution scheme includes two hours of continuous supply followed by six-hour outages. According to him, specialists are working on reconfiguring the energy system to stabilize the situation.

"Our goal is to reduce the shortage and make the outages less frequent," Razvozhayev stated, while simultaneously calling on citizens to limit the use of high-power appliances to avoid overloading the grid.

Energy problems in Crimea are intensifying in the context of a series of Ukrainian strikes against Russian logistical and energy infrastructure. Previously, restrictions on fuel consumption had already been imposed on the peninsula, as strikes on oil refineries and transport hubs led to a serious gasoline shortage.

Ukraine continues to attack strategic sites in Crimea to undermine Russian control over the region, which was annexed by Moscow in 2014, although the majority of the international community does not recognize the legitimacy of this act.
