AI tools are being used for psychological profiling of children: Warning from cybersecurity expert
The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies brings new and serious threats to children's safety in the digital space. According to cybersecurity expert Ilin Savov, AI tools allow malicious actors to perform precise online manipulation without even knowing their victims personally.
The process is fast and automated: through AI algorithms, criminals can analyze publicly available information on social networks in seconds. This includes photos, friend lists, interests, and general online activity. The result is the creation of a detailed psychological profile of the child.
"After such an analysis, communication with the child can be personalized so that the attacker appears as someone who understands them and shares their interests, which facilitates manipulation and the building of trust," Savov emphasized.
The expert adds that the risk is directly related to the volume of shared information. The more detailed the personal data available publicly, the easier it is for criminals to prepare targeted attacks. Prevention and limiting publicly accessible information on social networks are key steps to protecting minors.
