The power center of Plovdiv has undergone a significant transformation over the years. While women's influence was once often linked to social status and family capital, today's landscape under the hills is dominated by professionals – magistrates, politicians, and entrepreneurs with a strong presence in public life.

Despite national trends toward greater female representation, the situation in Plovdiv remains specific. In the Municipal Council, only 9 out of 51 councilors are women, and in the administration of Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov, the presence of ladies in the highest management echelon is limited. Nevertheless, the influence of women in key institutions is undeniable.

Politics and Administration
Among the leading figures, Katya Staykova, a deputy from "Progressive Bulgaria," and Toni Stoycheva – Mayor of the Zapaden district and a member of the national leadership of "We Continue the Change" – stand out. Stoycheva is considered one of the most promising figures in local politics. In the administrative sector, the name of the municipal secretary stands out, remaining a key factor in the management team.

Justice and Law
In the judicial system, women hold important positions. The District Prosecutor's Office is led by an experienced representative, and the Administrative Court is under the management of a president who also serves on the Commission for Anti-Corruption. Additionally, the presence of Dani Kanazireva is notable in the judicial system, who, following a political career, established herself as a judge.

Business and Media
In business circles, the influence of ladies is manifested through organizations such as the "Business Lady Club Plovdiv" and the "Union for Economic Initiative." Representatives like Emilia Tashkova and other business leaders prove that female leadership in the region is closely linked to economic development and creative industries.

This new profile of influence raises the question about the future of governance in Plovdiv: are the city structures ready for greater political participation of women?
