Tuesday with bad weather conditions: Yellow codes for 14 regions and risk of hail
Tuesday will bring unstable weather and high temperatures to most of the country. Despite sunny hours, the development of cumulonimbus clouds is expected, which will lead to short-term but locally intense rainfall and thunderstorm activity.
Warnings for dangerous phenomena
Meteorologists have declared a yellow code for dangerous weather in 14 regions. The risk of intense rainfall, thunderstorms, and hail is highest in the regions of: Smolyan, Pazardzhik, Sofia region, Lovech, Ruse, Silistra, Razgrad, Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Shumen, Montana, Vratsa, and Plovdiv. In Northwest Bulgaria, calmer weather is expected, with almost no rainfall.
Temperatures and regional specifics
Maximum temperatures at low altitudes will vary between 30 and 35 degrees. It will be cooler on the Black Sea coast, with temperatures between 26 and 30 degrees, while the sea temperature remains around 25 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are expected on the northern coast.
Mountainous regions
In the mountains, conditions will be even harsher. Cloud development with rain and thunderstorms is expected, especially in the Rila-Rhodope massif, where there is a risk of hail. Strong winds may blow on higher peaks, and temperatures at 2000 meters will be around 18 degrees.
