Tragedy on the Ruse-Byala road: 4 dead after collision between truck and minibus; prosecution takes over investigation

A terrible accident on the Ruse-Byala road ended with four dead and three injured before noon today. In the heavy collision between a heavy goods vehicle with Russian registration and a minibus with Ukrainian plates, the lives of four passengers were lost.

According to information from emergency teams, the victims in the minibus are the driver, two women, and an 11-year-old child. According to preliminary data, the deceased were relatives. Two other passengers—an elderly man and a minor boy—were rushed to Kanev Hospital in Ruse for medical assistance.

The District Prosecutor's Office in Ruse has officially taken over the investigation of the case. Police, fire, and emergency teams are working on the scene, conducting inspections of the crime scene, the vehicles, and the bodies of the deceased. Expert examinations have been ordered, and witness interrogations are being conducted to establish the exact cause of the incident.

The Ruse-Byala section of the road remains closed to traffic while investigative authorities are working.
