17-year-old youth held accountable for attack on police officers in Ikhtiman
The incident in "Iztok" district
A seventeen-year-old youth has been held criminally liable for causing bodily harm to Ministry of Interior employees and hooliganism. The incident occurred on August 1 in the "Iztok" district of the town of Ikhtiman.
According to the investigation, the youth directed insults at the "Security Police" officers and managed to damage part of their uniforms and insignia.
Injuries to the officers
During the clash, one of the police officers suffered a broken finger. Another officer was struck and sustained injuries including bleeding, traumatic swelling, and bruising.
Procedural measures
The youth was detained for 48 hours, and currently, a ban on leaving the country of Bulgaria has been imposed on him. The Prosecutor's Office is preparing a request to impose permanent arrest against the accused.
