The draw for CSKA 1948 in the Conference League: potential opponents from Hungary or Greece
CSKA 1948 has learned its potential opponents for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The draw presents a serious challenge for the Sofia club if they manage to advance through the current stage.
Before learning their fate in the next phase, the "Army Men" must eliminate the Slovakian Spartak Trnava. The second qualifying round matches will take place over the next two weeks – the first match is an away game in Slovakia, and the return leg will be held at the Vasil Levski Stadium.
In case of success, CSKA 1948 will face the winner of the pairing between Paks (Hungary) and Panathinaikos (Greece). The indicative dates for the third-round matches are August 6th and 13th, with the Sofia team starting away from home.
Paks, who finished in the top 3 of the Hungarian championship, and the Greek giant Panathinaikos, who finished fourth in the Super League, represent tough opponents that will determine the Bulgarian club's path in the European campaign.
