Specialized Webinar on Challenges in Treating Sjögren's Syndrome
Sjögren's syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease that requires an extremely careful approach, especially when the patient needs treatment for other comorbid conditions, including oncological ones. Due to the complexity of the condition, a specialized webinar will be held on July 23, focusing on therapeutic options for these patients.
The topic of the meeting is: "Can modern treatment for solid tumors—immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and chemotherapy—be applied to patients with Sjögren's syndrome?". The main goal is to examine how modern cancer treatment interacts with the patient's autoimmune status and how decisions are made regarding the most appropriate therapeutic approach.
Leading specialists will participate in the webinar: Dr. Rositsa Krasteva, Head of the Oncology Center at Uni Hospital, who will present the possibilities of medical oncology, and Prof. Dr. Maria Panchovska, a rheumatologist with many years of experience and founder of the first Sjögren's syndrome dispensary in Bulgaria.
The event is organized by the Association of Patients with Rheumatological Diseases in Bulgaria and is aimed at patients, their relatives, and medical specialists. The webinar will be held via the Zoom platform on July 23 at 6:00 PM.
