Slivopolye Municipality seeks membership in the Association of Bulgarian Cities and Regions

Slivopolye Municipality plans to become a new member of the Association of Bulgarian Cities and Regions (ABCR). This step is part of the local administration's efforts to improve governance and implement the Integrated Development Plan for the 2021-2027 period.

Joining the ABCR aims to strengthen partnerships between the municipality, businesses, and civil society, as well as to ensure better integration into European regional development policies. The Association acts as a platform for sharing experience and supporting local self-government according to European standards.

To finalize the process, decisions are forthcoming from the Slivopolye Municipal Council, which will grant consent for membership in the association. It is planned that the mayor of the municipality, Valentin Atanasov, will represent the local administration in the General Assembly of the ABCR as an official delegate.

Membership in the organization will allow the municipality to participate more actively in national and international initiatives aimed at sustainable development and increasing the efficiency of public administration in the interest of the citizens.
