Slavi Trifonov attacks the Minister of Interior again: I want answers regarding the US trip and the 'Petrohan' case

The leader of the 'There Is Such a People' (ITN) party, Slavi Trifonov, has increased the pressure on Minister of Interior Ivan Demerzhiev by publishing a new open letter. In it, the showman questions the purpose of the minister's recent trip to the USA and expresses doubt regarding the information provided by him about the meetings held there.

According to Trifonov, there are discrepancies between Demerzhiev's claims and the available photographic evidence regarding whom he spoke with in the American capital. "You could have gone on a sightseeing tour at state expense - and you did. As they say - you've seen the world," the politician ironized, emphasizing that instead of political accountability, the minister is demonstrating silence.

In addition to the question of the foreign visit, Trifonov once again brought the 'Petrohan' case and the incidents on Okolchitsa peak, where six people died, to the forefront. He accused the minister of a lack of transparency and called on Prime Minister Rumen Radev to intervene to urge the Ministry of Interior to provide specific answers.

This is the latest of at least five letters sent by Trifonov to the minister over the last five months. For its part, the Ministry of Interior has stated so far that the investigation into the 'Petrohan' case is in an active phase under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, but details cannot be disclosed due to procedural restrictions.
