The Swiss private banking group Julius Baer achieved exceptional financial results in the first half of 2026, reporting a record pre-tax profit. According to official data, the amount reached 813.6 million Swiss francs, which is significantly higher compared to 370.2 million francs for the same period last year.

The main drivers of this growth were the increase in assets under management volume, higher revenues from fees and trading activities, as well as a substantial reduction in credit losses. The group's operating revenues rose to 2.276 billion francs from 1.810 billion francs in 2025.

Key indicators for the half-year:

  • Assets under management: 546.7 billion francs (a 5% increase from the beginning of the year).
  • Net interest income: 130.4 million francs (compared to 72.5 million francs last year).
  • Net profit: 672.2 million francs (or 3.27 francs per share).

The growth in assets was supported by favorable market dynamics, currency movements, and a net inflow of new funds amounting to 5.7 billion francs.

Despite the strong financial reports, the market reaction to Julius Baer's shares has been mixed. After an initial rise on the SIX exchange, the share price fell by over 4% to 70.70 francs. The reason for the correction is management's forecast that challenges in attracting new capital will continue through next year.
