Record Jump in Austrian Agribusiness Revenue in 2025

The Austrian agro-sector has undergone one of its most successful years, reporting significant revenue growth in 2025. According to data from the Austrian Statistical Service, cited by BTA, agricultural revenues increased by 13% compared to the previous year.

The main factors for this positive result include higher prices in the livestock sector, as well as more moderate dynamics in production costs. These indicators led to a substantial increase in income in the country's rural areas.

For a more accurate assessment of the sector, the real income factor per unit of labor, adjusted for inflation, is used. This indicator has grown by 13.1% compared to 2024. In parallel, the net income per unit of unpaid labor (including owners and family members working without a salary) recorded a jump of 21.4%.

The total net profit of agricultural enterprises reached 2.55 billion euros, representing an increase of 24.7%. The total value of production in Austria's agricultural sector exceeded 10.9 billion euros, increasing by nearly 11% compared to the previous period.
