Outdoor Cinema and Football: Blagoevgrad was the Center of Summer Events in July
Blagoevgrad ended July with an intensive cultural and sports program that managed to bring hundreds of residents to the city squares. The 'Football Summer and Cinema' initiative, organized by the Municipality of Blagoevgrad, turned the city center into a lively space for shared emotions.
The final outdoor screening, which attracted people of all ages, was the film 'Gundi – A Legend of Love'. The story of the life and the man behind the legendary Georgi Asparuhov was broadcast before full rows, bringing the monthly program to a close.
Throughout July, 'Macedonia' Square served as a meeting place, where matches from the Club World Cup alternated with classic Bulgarian films. The goal of the project was to offer adolescents and adults the opportunity for socialization through common interests in sports and cinema.
Despite the end of the football-cinema program, summer in Blagoevgrad continues. Immediately following this, the third edition of the 'Come (to) Blagoevgrad' initiative begins, which includes musical evenings at the Bridge of Lovers, children's fairy tales, city parties, and Sunday hikes. In August, residents will be able to enjoy cinema under the stars once again, but this time in 'Macedonia' Park.
