One-day cleaning in Sofia: over 8 tons of waste removed from 'Iztok' and 'Dianabad' neighborhoods

The 'Iztok' and 'Dianabad' neighborhoods became cleaner following a large-scale volunteer action held yesterday. The initiative is a joint effort between the Sofia Municipality and the civil organization 'For Sofia Together'.

Dozens of citizens joined the cleaning efforts, assisting field teams in collecting bulky waste. Thanks to the coordination of the Sofia Inspectorate, which provided the necessary equipment and logistics, a total of over 8 tons of garbage were collected and hauled from the area.

This event is another example of how civic activity can directly impact the quality of the urban environment. When people dedicate their personal time to the common good, the results are visible as early as the next day.
