Night pursuit in Sofia ends with a Porsche crash: female driver has 2.31 per mille alcohol
The night of July 12 in Sofia ended with an intense police pursuit and a crash on the Ring Road. Around 3:20 AM, the police had to stop a Porsche Carrera sports car, but the driver did not comply with the signals to stop.
The pursuit ended with an impact on the road. A 24-year-old woman and a 23-year-old Russian citizen were traveling in the vehicle. Both sustained minor injuries. During the initial check, a breathalyzer reported 2.31 per mille of alcohol in the driver's breath. A blood sample was taken for further testing for alcohol and narcotics.
According to media reports, the young woman is the daughter of a former municipal councilor from GERB. According to unofficial data, she refused to sign the documents regarding the case after a conversation with her father.
Interestingly, prior to the incident, patrols from the 7th District Police Station had visited the address where the two were located. The reason was reports of disturbing the peace at night. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the case.
