Minors distributing fake euros in Pazardzhik region: two cases in one week

In one week, two separate cases of attempted use of counterfeit currency in commercial establishments were registered in the Septemvri municipality area. According to information from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Pazardzhik, the perpetrators of the criminal acts are minors.

The incidents occurred in shops in the town of Septemvri and in the village of Varvara. The young people attempted to pay for purchases with counterfeit 20 euro banknotes.

The police are currently conducting an investigation into both cases. Since the individuals are under the age of full criminal responsibility, specialists from the "Child Pedagogical Room" are also participating in the process of clarifying the circumstances. The collected materials have been prepared in the form of reports, which have already been submitted to the prosecutor's office.
