Mike Perry and Dylan Danis to face off in new hybrid format
After a long wait, mixed martial arts fans will witness one of the most discussed clashes outside of the UFC this year. Mike Perry and Dylan Danis will officially face each other on August 29 in Orlando, Florida.
The matchup will be the main event of the debut gala night titled "Duel Arena 1," which will take place at the Kia Center. The organizers are offering an ambitious and non-standard format – the event will combine MMA, boxing, and kickboxing bouts, with the interesting detail being that all competitions will be held in a boxing ring rather than a traditional cage.
For Mike Perry, this is the next step in his return to MMA following his success against Nate Diaz in May, where he won by technical knockout. Perry, who gained massive popularity in bare-knuckle fighting (BKFC), is attempting to re-establish his name in mixed martial arts.
Dylan Danis is also returning to the MMA format. Although he participates in the cage less frequently, he already has recent victories, as well as tough clashes against high-level fighters on other platforms.
The Duel Arena 1 lineup is expected to include more former UFC fighters and well-known influencers, with the full list of participants to be revealed in the coming weeks. Details regarding the television broadcast of the event are also expected soon.
