In a world that often measures success only through numbers and speeds, sometimes the most valuable thing is precisely "the time between two journeys" – those invisible moments when we stop to notice the beauty of the instant. This very philosophy lies at the heart of Vesela Mihova's debut poetry collection, which will be presented to the Plovdiv audience on July 22 at the "Elysium" Cultural Center.

The story of this book is more of an emotional journey than a mere literary project. The idea was conceived as early as 2015, but life, as often happens, imposed other priorities. It was only years later, in 2024, that the project was completed, evolving into a mature work that encompasses creativity written over more than fifteen years.

The intriguing contrast in the author's profile is the fact that her professional path lies in the sphere of strict logic. Vesela Mihova is a specialist in applied mathematics and statistics and a teacher in the academic environment, but her heart has always sought an escape into nature and the written word. In her book, poetry intertwines with mountain treks, the seasons, and philosophical reflections on life, gathered in the cycle "C'est la vie".

The visual aspect of the book is the result of close collaboration with illustrator Emma Yordanova. The choice of black-and-white illustrations is intentional – the goal is to keep the focus on the text, while the colored cover serves only as a gentle introduction to the book's atmosphere. This is a joint project of people who share a common love for the mountains and the silence of nature.

The meeting at "Elysium" (from 6:30 PM) will not be just a standard presentation. It will be a conversation about the creative process, about how personal experiences and travels – often shared with her partner, who is a mountain guide – turn into metaphors and verses. This is an invitation to readers to return to the small, often neglected moments that bring true peace.
