Massive Russian airstrikes against Kyiv and Kharkiv; Zelensky warns of North Korean military support for Moscow

Russian airstrikes against the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia have led to casualties and significant destruction in residential areas. According to Ukrainian authorities, the attacks targeted both civilian infrastructure and strategic military sites.

In Kharkiv, a missile strike on a private property claimed the life of a 40-year-old woman, with 12 people injured. In Zaporizhzhia, a drone attack caused the death of one person and the injury of six others. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that during the nighttime strikes on the capital, three people were injured, and fires and building damage broke out in various parts of the city.

In response to the attacks, the Ukrainian military reported conducting strikes against Russian military targets, including a facility belonging to the Chornomorneftegaz company and a drone control relay station.

Parallel to the combat operations, President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a warning regarding the international escalation of the conflict. According to him, Moscow has requested Pyongyang to send 30,000 military personnel to fight on its side. Zelensky added that North Korea could also provide Russia with ballistic missile launchers.
