The world of mixed martial arts (MMA) is about to witness a historic event. On September 10 in Japan, a bout will take place that will unify the titles of two leading organizations – PFL and RIZIN.
In the featherweight category (up to 65.8 kg), two of the best fighters in the world will face off: former Bellator champion A.J. Magny and undefeated RIZIN champion Rakhbali Shayduallaev. The winner of this match will go down in history as the first fighter to possess the belts of both promotions simultaneously.
PFL President John Martin emphasized the significance of the event, stating that the goal is to establish who is the best fighter in this weight class on a global scale. The partnership between PFL and the Japanese organization RIZIN is developing dynamically following PFL's acquisition of Bellator, and this match is their largest joint project to date.
