On Monday evening, intensive movement of passenger cars is being observed at the Kalotina border control and passing point (BCPP). According to information from travelers, the waiting time when entering Bulgaria from Serbia exceeds two hours.

It has been noted that the queues are dense in all lanes, with a large portion of the vehicles having German registrations. The situation is also reflected in the current data from the Ministry of Interior, which shows heavy traffic at the borders with Serbia and Turkey (BCPP "Kapitan Andreevo").

At the other border points, the situation is different:

  • Romania: Traffic is normal. Movement across the Danube Bridge (Ruse - Giurgiu) has been fully restored in both lanes.
  • Greece: All crossings are operating without significant delays.
  • North Macedonia: Traffic is in normal mode at all points.

It is important to note that due to the low level of the Danube River, the Oryahovo – Bechet ferry connection has been temporarily suspended.
