Green Innovations in Pleven: Creation of a Specialized Consulting Center Under Discussion

In the Pleven region, the possibility of creating an outsourced consulting center focused on ecology, green innovations, and sustainable development is being discussed. The idea was presented during the Regional Forum for Priority Investment Projects in the Northwest Region.

Participants in the meeting included Regional Governor Ivan Petkov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Kichukov from the University of Forestry – Sofia, and Danail Naydenov from the Northwest Regional Innovation Center. The main goal of the future center will be to provide expertise in areas such as landscape architecture, green urban infrastructure, alternative tourism, and support for entrepreneurs working on ecological projects.

According to Assoc. Prof. Kichukov, Pleven possesses significant potential for development in these directions. He emphasized that the University of Forestry has solid experience in managing international projects for creating innovative green laboratories.

Regional Governor Ivan Petkov noted the importance of cooperation between the scientific community and the local administration, adding that such initiatives are key to the long-term economic development of the region.
