Free cardiology examinations at "St. Ekaterina" Hospital: how to benefit

UMBAL "St. Ekaterina" has announced an initiative to conduct free preventive cardiology examinations. The campaign will take place from July 29 to July 31, 2026, and is aimed at assessing the cardiovascular health of citizens.

The consultations will be performed by a team of established specialists at the hospital, including Assoc. Prof. Plamen Krastev, Dr. Svilena Gadeva, Dr. Ralitsa Stoycheva, Dr. Stoyan Stefanov, and Dr. Ivaylo Tsenkov. Importantly, a referral from a GP is not required for the examinations, and they are completely free for all interested parties.

Prevention during the summer months is particularly critical, as high temperatures can affect blood pressure and heart rhythm. The initiative is suitable both for patients with already diagnosed conditions such as arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, or arrhythmias, and for healthy individuals who wish to undergo a preventive check-up.
