Free and anonymous Hepatitis B and C tests in Haskovo and Harmanli

The Regional Health Inspection (RHI) in Haskovo has announced the start of a campaign for free and anonymous testing for Hepatitis B and C viruses. The initiative is organized in connection with World Hepatitis Day, which is observed on July 28.

Citizens can benefit from the mobile clinic, which will be located at "Svoboda" Square in the city of Haskovo. For the residents of the town of Harmanli, a screening is scheduled for July 30 in the "Malamar Dere" neighborhood.

In addition to the mobile units, the Microbiological Laboratory of RHI Haskovo will conduct tests for Hepatitis B surface antigen and antibodies against Hepatitis C from July 27 to July 31. The tests themselves are immunochromatographic and are extremely fast – the result is obtained within 15 to 20 minutes.

The procedure is completely anonymous, allowing those interested to check for these viral infections without concerns regarding their personal information. This campaign follows previous health initiatives in the region aimed at the early diagnosis of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis.
