Fire near the village of Kosharitsa forces evacuation of dozens of residents

On Saturday afternoon, an emergency evacuation of about 50 people from the outskirts of the village of Kosharitsa, Burgas region, was carried out. The signal regarding the fire that broke out in dry grass was reported at 15:13.

Due to strong winds, the flames spread at high speed, creating a direct danger to residential buildings in the area. Heavy smoke forced firefighters to evacuate residents in the most affected zone to ensure their safety.

Firefighting teams from Nessebar, Pomorie, and Burgas participated in the fight against the fire, and a water tanker from the Nessebar Municipality was also called to assist. Once the fire was brought under control, an inspection of the site was conducted.

According to preliminary data, between 50 and 70 decares of dry vegetation were burned. There is no information regarding casualties or damage to buildings.
