Felix Auger-Aliassime confirms participation in Rotterdam tournament
Felix Auger-Aliassime has been officially confirmed as a participant in the next edition of the prestigious ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam. The event organizers announced that the Canadian will be one of the main stars in the main draw, following last year's winner Alex de Minaur.
The Rotterdam tournament holds special significance for Auger-Aliassime. He made his ATP main draw debut right here in 2018, and in 2022, he managed to win his first professional tour title by defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final. In his last year in Rotterdam, the Canadian reached the final battle but lost to De Minaur.
"When I think of Rotterdam, I can't help but remember that my career started right there. I became the youngest finalist in the tournament's history and won my first title. I hope to experience that feeling once more," shared Auger-Aliassime.
Tournament director Richard Krajicek highlighted the massive progress of the 25-year-old player, noting that the fact Auger-Aliassime will record his ninth appearance in the tournament while ranked in the top tier is a testament to his talent and consistency.
The next edition of the ABN Amro Open will take place from February 8 to 14.
