Nikola Tsolov demonstrated exceptional resilience and character at the legendary Spa track in Belgium. In a dramatic Formula 2 main race, the 'Bulgarian Lion' managed to claim a podium finish, despite spending a large part of the race with a damaged machine.

The path to third place was filled with challenges. At the beginning of the race, Tsolov was involved in sharp contact with the Brazilian Rafael Camara, which led to damage to the Bulgarian's car and a loss of positions. The drama intensified with a red flag following Van Hoepen's heavy crash, but this proved to be a key moment for the Campos team, as it allowed the mechanics to perform the necessary corrections to Tsolov's car.

Although he crossed the finish line in fifth position, the race stewards imposed 5-second penalties on Alex Dunne and Noel León. These sanctions changed the final classification, elevating Tsolov to third place.

Rafael Camara grabbed the race victory, while Tasdanapol Intrapucha won second place. With this success, Nikola Tsolov solidifies his leadership position in the overall season standings with 161 points, maintaining a 27-point lead over Gabriele Minì.

The next stop of the Formula 2 championship will be at the Hungaroring track in Budapest.
