Dr. Iliyan Iliev, Director of the EMS-Shumen, has passed away

Tragic news from the Shumen region – Dr. Iliyan Iliev, who led the Emergency Medical Care Center (EMC) in the region for over 17 years, has passed away.

Dr. Iliev was born in 1964 in the town of Provadia. He received his education at the Medical University of Varna, and his professional path is closely linked to the health institutions in Shumen, where he began working at the regional hospital.

From 2009 to the present, he served as the director of the Shumen emergency medical services, providing critical care for patients in the region. In addition to his medical activities, Dr. Iliev was also active in political life – in 2005, he was elected as a Member of Parliament in the 40th National Assembly from the Shumen multi-member constituency.

His death is a loss for the regional medical community.
