Saturday became a true challenge for thousands of travelers heading to the South Black Sea Coast. The massive tourist flow, combined with several road accidents, led to the formation of kilometer-long queues on the Trakia motorway and on the main roads leading to Burgas, Sozopol, Primorsko, and Tsarevo.

The traffic jams began before noon, and by the afternoon, movement became extremely slow. The accidents registered throughout the day further delayed traffic, forcing many people to spend hours in their cars before reaching the seaside resorts.

With the onset of the peak summer season, such scenes on weekends are becoming increasingly frequent. Even a single incident is enough to block traffic on busy routes and create serious difficulties for road users.

In light of the situation, the Mayor of Primorsko, Ivan Gaykov, issued an emotional appeal to drivers. He emphasized that safety must be the priority above all else.

"We urge all drivers to drive with increased attention and to follow the traffic rules. Do not forget – the beach will be there tomorrow too, but the most important thing is that we all arrive safe and sound."

The appeal comes following a series of incidents in the Ropotamo area. At the same time, the police are calling for patience, maintaining distance, and adhering to speed limits to avoid tragedies on the road to the sea.
