The Bulgarian sporting spirit has once again asserted itself on the international stage, this time in the United Kingdom. 19-year-old Elizaveta Popova, representing the Llanelli club from Wales, won the title of absolute champion of Great Britain in rhythmic gymnastics for the second time during the national championship in Telford.

Popova is well known to the Bulgarian audience, having participated in prestigious competitions in our country, including the World Cups in Sofia, the European Championship in Varna, and the competition for the Queen Margaret Prize. Her success is the result of years of work with her coach and mother, Yoana Popova.

This year, the British championship was marked by an extremely strong presence of Bulgarian specialists. The Bulgarian school showed its dominance through the successes of several coaches: Eva Balova (RGC 'Evolution') led Malika Ozden to the absolute title in the junior category, Monika Vedrichkova (RGC 'Anna') dominated in the cadet category, and Nadya Alexandrova turned the girls' ensemble of RGC 'Greenwich' into silver medalists.
