A Culturally Rich Week in Pleven: From a Comedy with Dimitar Rachkov to Caricaturist Exhibitions
Pleven is preparing an intensive cultural program that promises to turn the city into an attractive center for art lovers in the upcoming week. From spicy theater to profound painting, the program offers something for every taste.
A central place on the poster is taken by the theatrical stage in the Summer Theater in Kaylaka Park. On July 22 at 8:30 PM, the audience will be welcomed by the comedy "Rachkov and Women". Directed by Ivaylo Hristov and written by Ivan Angelov, the performance featuring the charismatic Dimitar Rachkov will explore with humor and a hint of melancholy the eternal themes of love, failures, and the search for a true soulmate.
Fine arts lovers have a rich selection of exhibitions. At the Art Center Pleven, on July 21, a solo exhibition by Georgi Andonov opens—an artist with long experience and over 30 international exhibitions. Simultaneously, the "Tvoritelnitsa O`Pismeneh" space presents the exhibition "Back on the Path" by Iliya Bankov, which marks the end of the creative season at the center.
Special attention deserves the event at the "Iliya Beshkov" Art Gallery. On July 24, the gallery will celebrate the birthday of its patron with an exposition of his drawings, supplemented by masterpieces from the famous caricaturist Tsvetan Tsekov – Karandash, as well as a selection from the National "Caricature" Exhibition.
For the youngest visitors, the "Hristo Smirnenski" Regional Library has prepared the finale of the "Children's Summer Cinema" initiative. On July 22 at 10:30 AM, the animated hit "Ratatouille" will be projected in the art hall, with free admission.
