Israel has officially confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, which will be held in Bulgaria. The information comes from the publication The Algemeiner, citing the Israeli national broadcaster "Kan".

According to sources, the Israeli representative will be chosen through the familiar format – the reality show "HaKokhav HaBa" ("The Next Star"), organized by Keshet 12 television. The song selection process will follow the same methodology used last year, relying on complete anonymity for the composers. Interestingly, music creators will be allowed to use artificial intelligence to record vocals in demo versions to ensure the authors' identities remain hidden from the committee.

The selection process will begin with a screening of approximately 40 compositions, from which the final song will be chosen. Israel has a rich history in the contest with four wins (1978, 1979, 1998, and 2018).

The country's participation in the upcoming edition in Bulgaria comes during a period of serious international debate. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is under pressure from activists calling for Israel's exclusion due to military actions in the Gaza Strip. Cases of withdrawal from previous editions of the contest by countries such as Spain, the Netherlands, and Ireland have already been recorded, making the upcoming event in Bulgaria even more significant from a political and cultural perspective.
