Health Management and International Cooperation: Themes of the Meeting Between R. Radev and German Experts
A meeting was held at the Council of Ministers between Prime Minister Rumen Radev and representatives of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade. Participants in the conversation included Minister of Health Katya Ivkova, as well as leading doctors, researchers, and experts in the field of medical technologies.
The main theme of the meeting was the expansion of international partnership in the healthcare sector. International models for effective health system management and examples of successful digital transformation that could serve as a benchmark for Bulgaria were discussed.
During the conversation, the role of high-quality healthcare as a factor for sustainable social development and economic growth was emphasized. The proposed model includes the implementation of pilot projects to stimulate innovation in the Bulgarian healthcare system.
Rumen Radev emphasized that healthcare remains a key priority for the government. The Prime Minister stressed the critical importance of disease prevention and prophylaxis, while simultaneously insisting on full transparency in the management and expenditure of public funds in the sector.
