Bulgarian young talents win award at the "Sofia" international festival

Young Bulgarian performers Simeon Slavev and Danaya Aleksandrova have achieved significant recognition on the international music scene. They won the prestigious "Audience Award" during the XV "Sofia" International Pop and Rock Music Festival.

Their success came with the composition "Voice of a Child," whose lyrics and music are by Nikolay Aleksandrov, and the arrangement was developed by Svetoslav Loboshki. The project is under the creative leadership of Adelina Koleva from the "Napredak 1869" Community Center in Gorna Oryahovitsa.

In addition to the public vote, the song was also honored with the Festival's Special Award. The award ceremony took place at the National Palace of Culture (NDK), and the award was presented by Petya Buyuklieva.

The Chairman of the Association of "Independent Artists, Musicians, and Singers" and director of the festival, Peyo Peev, officially presented the statuette to the young performers. The community center in Gorna Oryahovitsa expressed pride in the achievement and encouraged the young creators to continue creating high-quality Bulgarian music.

The next edition of the festival, the XVI "Sofia" International Pop and Rock Music Festival, will be held in mid-September 2026.
