Bulgaria aims to attract high value-added investments through energy security and strategic partnership with the USA

The Government of Bulgaria places the creation of a predictable and competitive environment for business and investment as one of its main priorities. This was stated by Prime Minister Rumen Radev during a meeting with the leadership of the American-Central European Business Association, held at the Council of Ministers.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister emphasized Bulgaria's strategic importance for Europe's energy stability. He pointed out that thanks to its geographical location and developed infrastructure, the country is a key participant in a number of transport and energy corridors that strengthen European competitiveness. Among the important projects mentioned were Corridor No. 8, the capabilities of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline, and the benefits of liquefied natural gas terminals in Greece and Turkey for the diversification of energy flows.

In addition to energy, Rumen Radev also highlighted the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the USA. His goal is to encourage the attraction of high value-added investments while simultaneously utilizing technology transfer for the modernization of the Bulgarian army.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Aleksandar Pulev and Atanas Pekanov, the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chargé d'Affaires of the USA in Bulgaria, Martin McKee. This is the latest in a series of meetings by the Prime Minister with international business organizations, aimed at presenting Bulgaria as a modern and innovative economy.
