Apple regains the top spot: Company becomes the most valuable in the world, overtaking Nvidia
Apple has officially regained its status as the most valuable company in the world, overtaking the tech giant Nvidia. According to Reuters data, Apple's market valuation reached $4.88 trillion, while Nvidia shares saw a 3.5% decline, bringing the company down to $4.86 trillion.
This shift in leadership marks a turning point for investors. After nearly a year of dominance by Nvidia, driven by the artificial intelligence (AI) boom, the market is beginning to shift its focus toward companies that offer more stable models for monetizing new technologies.
Although Apple was criticized for being late in developing its own AI models, analysts see a long-term advantage in its strategy. Unlike chip manufacturers, Apple is less reliant on massive capital expenditures for infrastructure and is better positioned to generate revenue through the integration of AI into its ecosystem of services and hardware devices.
A key factor for future growth is considered to be the update of the voice assistant Siri. Investors are closely monitoring how the company will utilize the massive amount of user data stored on iPhone devices to improve its AI capabilities without violating the privacy policies that are at the core of the brand.
This market success comes at a critical moment for the company's leadership. CEO Tim Cook is preparing for a leadership transformation, as his position is expected to be taken over in September by hardware sector veteran John Ternus.
