The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Burgas requested from the Regional Court that a permanent arrest be ordered for the executive director of ViK – Burgas, Tsvetan Mirchev, and an employee responsible for investor control in the company. Both individuals are accused of intentional mismanagement, which, according to the state prosecution, led to damage to the municipal company amounting to over 303,000 euros.

According to the prosecutor's office data, the disbursed funds were intended for a trading company that failed to perform the agreed activities. The request for detention will be considered by the court today.

Prosecutor Ivan Kirkov clarified that the investigation established that in many cases, the boreholes had not been cleaned, despite documents certifying the performed work being presented. This led to the transfer of funds to the contractor without the actual execution of the activity.

On the other hand, the defense attorney of the accused, Petar Dimitrov, disputes these claims, stating that the activity was carried out in full. He explained that the request for arrest represents repression against the director and his colleague.
