The national student competition 'Green Planet' for the 2025/2026 school year has concluded with the announcement of the winners. The initiative, organized by the 'Sustainable Development for Bulgaria' Foundation with the assistance of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, brought together hundreds of young authors, teachers, and creators striving for environmental protection.
The competition covered a wide spectrum of disciplines – from scientific research and socially significant projects to arts such as painting, music, and design. A high-profile jury evaluated the works across different age groups, assessing not only creativity but also the depth of ecological insight.
Main categories and distinguished participants:
- Scientific and social projects: In the scientific research category, students from Dimitrovgrad, Kyustendil, and the village of Pobeda received distinctions.
- Arts and painting: The 'Green Planet Through the Eyes of Children' competition showcased talented young artists from Popovo, Sofia, Kazanlak, Montana, and Varna.
- Tradition and ecology: Special awards were noted for art objects that combine centuries-old traditions with care for nature, as well as for collective musical and theatrical performances.
- Design and costumes: In the category of modernity and tradition, a student from Sandanski stood out.
