Anniversary and gratitude to the audience
Singer Veselin Marinov is celebrating his 65th birthday and 45 years of a professional journey on stage. To mark the occasion, he is organizing a concert in Primorsko as part of his "You Are Love" tour. According to the performer, the stage is not just a job for him, but a place to connect with people, and his concerts are a form of gratitude to the audience, rather than a report on what has been achieved.
Marinov shares that, unlike many colleagues, he prefers to be accessible for greetings on his personal celebration. Last year, he received about 850 messages via the Viber app alone, which he sees as proof of the necessary closeness with his fans.
The creative journey and the influence of Toncho Rusev
In his retrospection, the singer describes the first 13 years of his career as a period of searching and uncertainty. The turning point came after his "Golden Orpheus" award and his meeting with composer Toncho Rusev. This collaboration laid the foundation for his success and brought hits such as "You Are Love," "For You, Bulgaria," "Bitter Wine," and "Woman on the Balcony."
"Toncho Rusev is the person who made it so that today I fill summer theaters and halls in Bulgaria," Marinov emphasizes, attributing a large part of his professional realization to him.
Challenges and changes in the music industry
Speaking about his difficult beginnings, the performer mentions the lack of funds and personal family problems that tested him. He also makes a comparison with today's musical environment, noting that modern young performers – such as Mihaela Fileva, Mihaela Marinova, and Dara – have a much faster start thanks to television formats and media agencies.
Upcoming projects and new recordings
In Veselin Marinov's schedule, several important musical events are upcoming:
- Concert recordings: On November 18, 19, and 20, the project "Veselin Marinov – Concert" will be held in Hall 1 of the NDK. This is a special edition where a concert recording from the end of last year will be released on vinyl record.
