Summer Tour of Military Musicians

The Representative Wind Band of the Navy will organize a series of free open-air concerts in Varna. The events will take place in front of the entrance to the Sea Garden, with two dates remaining: August 7, as part of the Navy's holiday, and August 13, which will serve as the finale of this year's summer tour.

The orchestra, which has over 140 years of history, is a key participant in official state and military ceremonies in Bulgaria. During the summer, however, the musicians strive to present a more diverse side of military music, stepping outside the boundaries of standard protocol.

Tradition and Professionalism

The orchestra's conductor, Captain III rank Georgi Zayranov, emphasizes the role of wind bands in the country's history, noting that they have been present at all important events—both celebratory and tragic. According to him, expectations for the ensemble are always high, and the composition itself is unique to the country.

Assistant conductor Senior Lieutenant Daniel Lazarov points out that the musicians' work is a combination of patriotism, honor, and duty. He adds that the open-air concerts provide an opportunity to showcase a completely different side of military music, and the direct encounter with the audience serves as additional inspiration for the performers.
