Maglizh is transforming into a center of cultural diversity as 'Treti Mart' Square hosts the 10th jubilee National Festival of Ethnicities 'Equal in Difference'. Under the motto '10 Years – Colorful in Spirit, United in Heart', this event is no longer just a local celebration, but an established space for dialogue between traditions.
The organizer – 'Probuda - 1869' Community Center, under the patronage of the Mayor of the Municipality, Dusho Gavazov, has created a stage where differences do not divide, but enrich. The festival is a living thread that connects different communities, allowing them to present their way of life, art, and spiritual values to the general public.
The program is a true path through time and traditions. Visitors can immerse themselves in the authentic world through several specially prepared exhibitions:
- 'Grandmother's Kitchen' – where the aroma of traditional dishes and ritual breads tells stories of home and family;
- 'From Grandmother's Skillful Hands' – an exhibition gathering household items and crafts preserved through generations;
- 'Grandmother's Chest' – an exposition of authentic folk costumes, demonstrating the beauty of ethnographic attire.
One of the most exciting elements of the festival is the culinary duel. Guest groups not only present their characteristic flavors but also compete for the best-prepared pogacha (traditional bread), traditional dish, or dessert. The most delicious presentations will be rewarded with special certificates and plaques, confirming the mastery of local cooks.
