Road police identified 29 drivers under the influence of alcohol and 6 drivers under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues over the last 24 hours. Most of the caught drunk drivers had a blood alcohol concentration above 1.2 per mille, the Ministry of Interior reported.

As part of the operation, over 13,500 motor vehicles were checked. Nearly 4,000 fines and 400 reports were issued for established violations. The main focus of the control measures is to prevent the operation of vehicles by persons who have consumed alcohol, drugs, or their analogues, as well as by unqualified drivers.
